Our January 20th breakfast meeting went very well! The topic was ‘Eat Like a Pig Look Like a Twig”
Presented by Dr. Jose Aguilar of Helping Hands Chiropractic-Northbrook, IL. The group found
The presentation informative and eye opening.
Diet and exercise were stressed as the important factors in overall health. Dr. Aguilar stressed
That there would be limited visits to the MD if people would take the time to eat organic
And limit their processed foods.
Food groups mentioned that were a detriment were: Milk, pork, fast food, pop-especially
Diet drinks were considered especially harmful. Good food groups contain lots of color!!
Vegetables, fruits, grains, nothing white! Limit red meat- more poultry and fish.
One more important factor: As we age, movement is extremely important. Join a health
Club, walk, take yoga and meditation. Have a ten minute moment of solitude every day
To decompress and relax.
It’s very simple: Take responsibility for your health!!
