Companion Services of America Supports Awareness for Hunger in the Community
On October 6th a representative from Companion Services of America attended a Luncheon with a Fashion Show at Le Colonial Restaurant in Lake Forest. The event was held by the Hunger Resource Network. The Models were men and women from local businesses. All of the beautiful clothing was from local boutiques.
The Hunger Resource Network’s mission is to aid in the alleviation of hunger by helping meet the needs of food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters across Chicagoland. We are a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization.
Since 2009, through donations we received, we have been able to distribute over 4.5 million pounds of food and rescue tens of thousands of pounds of food from farmers’ markets and local businesses.
Since 2019 we have developed and implemented a food rescue program and assisted students and seniors who are food insecure.
Over 100 dynamic women in business from several chambers of commerce came together to network and support each other. Companion Services representative was honored to be included.
