I have been enjoying my involvement in the community. I am still calling Bingo at the retirement communities in the area, and most recently, participated in an auction at an independent living community in the area. In the next few weeks, I have Bingo, breakfasts, and a trivia social planned.

As part of our community involvement with the James Lovell Community Health Care Living Center, we celebrated and honored our Happy Heroes by distributing hats for all. Why do you need to watch the olympics on tv when you can play pole vault, ring toss, and do the 50 meter dash? This is what we did at Manor Care of Highland Park yesterday afternoon. The bronze, silver, and gold metals were definitely well deserved!

What a fun afternoon! I dealt blackjack to the residents at Bethany Terrace in Morton Grove. Some of the residents had never played cards before, but by the end of the event, they were professionals! I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Another adventure at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove. I spent yesterday afternoon with the lovely residents of Sunrise enjoying cookies and trivia. I must say, I’m very impressed with their knowledge of trivia. What a great time. I can’t wait until the next event.
