Open House Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago with Colonel David Sutherland

On Friday January 25th, Steve and I attended an open house for Easter Seals of Metropolitan Chicago at their school in Chicago.  The guest speaker was Colonel David Sutherland who spoke about his experiences in the military in Afghanistan and Iraq.  His stories were inspirational and leads everyone to desire to participate in community service.  We support the mission for Easter Seals in conjunction with the Chicago Park District to help our returning Wounded Warriors. Pizza party & Bingo at the VA with the CSA team

Yesterday afternoon, Lisa, Steve, and I hosted Bingo at the VA for our Happy Heroes. CSA hosted a pizza party and distributed prizes to the Bingo winners. At the end, everyone was a winner. We really enjoyed spending the afternoon with our vets and appreciate that the facility organized this event. We will back again next month! See our attached pic of us with our fantastic companions. Connecticut school shooting tragedy

Our hearts go out to the families of the victims in the school shooting. The majority of the victims were children between 5 and 10 years old with their whole lives ahead of them. We are thinking about their families in their time of need and know that they will live on in the hearts of those who love them. Read more

Recognizing our employee, Ron Onita

Ron has worked for CSA since the early years. We would like to recognize Ron for his outstanding performance and service as a supervisor and companion for our veterans at the James Lovell Federal Health Care Center. His dedication, commitment, and compassion have allowed to be a success. He truly makes a difference in the lives of our vets. We appreciate everything Ron has done for CSA. Easter Seals Gala 2012 by Steve

Last night, Jamie and I attended the Easter Seals Gala. Jamie's mother, Jan Smith, wife of the late doctor Leonard Smith, joined us. Allison Rosati and Rob Stafford from NBC 5 Chicago News were the emces for the evening. Rachel Barton played the violin, and special guest, Ozzie Guillen, former White Sox manager, was in attendance.
